Offline verification and issuing of the seasonal pass for Mumbai locals started on Wednesday for citizens who have completed 14 days after receiving two doses of the Covid-19 vaccine.
The process of offline verification and issuing of the seasonal rail pass for local trains started in Mumbai on Wednesday. As per the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC),18,324 citizens were verified in the first session and 17,758 monthly passes were distributed till 3 pm. Among the passes, 12, 771 monthly passes were issued by Central Railway and 4,987 monthly passes issued by Western Railway. 358 help desks had been started at 53 railway stations in the BMC area from 7 am on Wednesday.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
