Odisha’s Biju Janata Dal (BJD) has decided to support Jagdeep Dhankhar, NDA’s vice presidential choice.
The Biju Janata Dal (BJD) in Odisha has decided to support Jagdeep Dhankhar, the vice presidential choice of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA).
However, the official confirmation from the ruling BJD is yet to come.
The decision came after Prime Minister Narendra Modi had a word with Odisha CM and BJD President Naveen Pattnaik on Sunday.

The BJP on Saturday announced Bengal Governor Jagdeep Dhakhar as the NDA's pick to be the next vice-president of India. BJP chief JP Nadda made the announcement after the party's parliamentary board met in Delhi to discuss their choice.
The BJD had earlier confirmed the party's support for Draupadi Murmu, who belongs to Odisha.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
