On March 30, 2022, Pujari had presented an Interim Budget, a full-fledged Budget could not be presented at that time in view of the ongoing panchayat and civic polls.
The Budget presented today had two main components—Agriculture budget and General budget. The Finance Minister first tabled the Agriculture budget and then presented the General budget in the House.
Niranjan Pujari termed the budget as a 'welfare, growth, development and investment-oriented annual budget.'
This year’s budget outlay is 17.6% more in comparison to that of previous year 2021-22.
"The budget expenses will be met from the revenue sources of Rs 1,63,967 crore and Rs 3,633 crore from loan and other sources," Pujari said in his budget speech.
The revenue sources include Rs 36,978 crore of the state’s share from the taxes imposed by the Centre, the state’s own tax revenue of Rs 46,000 crore and non-tax revenue of Rs 48,200 crore and the Central allocation of Rs 32,789 crore.
