Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik on Thursday sanctioned Rs 67.52 lakh from his relief fund for feeding all stray animals during the extended lockdown period. While the Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation (BMC) will spend Rs 20,000 per day, four other municipal corporations can spend Rs 10,000 per day, each . Besides, 48 municipalities can use Rs 5,000 each and 61 Notified Area Councils (NACs) can spend Rs 2,000 thousand each, per day. "The lockdown is now underway across the state to control the Covid-19 pandemic. Therefore, stray dogs and cattle are deprived of food," the cheif minister had said during the release of the first phase of the amount from Chief Minister's Relief Fund (CMRF) earlier.More Related News
