NYC teacher cut loose after 2nd bust for alleged attack on cops at protests
NY Post
A city teacher with a history of clashing with cops was among the anarchists busted during an anti-police riot on the Upper East Side that led NYPD Commissioner Dermot Shea to demand that they all wind up behind bars.
But Mikael Bucknavage, 23, was instead cut loose by a judge who previously sparked outrage by freeing a vagrant following a series of unprovoked attacks on female passers-by. Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Anne Thompson — who was appointed by Mayor Bill de Blasio in 2018 — even refused a prosecution request to place Bucknavage under supervision because he’s still subject to a conditional discharge for his prior arrest.More Related News
