Not just Sanskrit, recite Tamil hymns too at temple consecration events: Madras HC

The Madras High Court said that Tamil hymns should also be chanted at consecration ceremonies in temples across the country.

The Madras High Court on Monday said that Tamil hymns should also be chanted, along with Sanskrit ones, during consecration ceremonies in temples across the country. A bench of Justice N Kirubakaran and Justice B Pugalendhi, hailed Tamil as the "Language of Gods," It added that in our country "it is made to believe that Sanskrit alone is Gods' language."
