
No state probe against NCB's Sameer Wankhede, says Maha Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil

NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik had accused Sameer Wankhede of extorting film stars in Maldives.
NCB's zonal director Sameer Wankhede will not be investigated by the Maharashtra government right now, said Home Minister Dilip Walse-Patil on Thursday. He said there was "no question" of the state government ordering any investigation.
Earlier, NCP leader and Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik had accused Wankhede of extorting film stars in Maldives. He had also claimed that Wankhede had been moved to the Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) after the death of Sushant Singh Rajput to target the Indian film industry.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
