The post mortem report of the Chandauli girl, who was allegedly thrashed to death by the police, states that there was no internal or external injury on the body.
In the latest development in the case of a girl's death during a police raid in Uttar Pradesh's Chandauli, the post mortem report states that there was no internal or external injury to the body.
The report stated that the cause of death is not clear and so a viscera sample has been preserved for testing. The report mentions that there were no injury marks found anywhere on the body. There was no internal or external injury.
However, two marks were found on the girl's body, a scratch in the front of the throat and minor bruising 0.5 cm below the left jaw.
On Sunday, a 21-year-old girl from Chandauli's Manrajpur village died after allegedly being thrashed by the police who had gone to her house to conduct a raid.
The deceased was identified as Nisha Yadav. The police had gone to her place to apprehend her father Kanhaiya Yadav, a history-sheeter.
Widespread protests against the police were reported following her death. Nisha's last rites were conducted at Manikarnika Ghat in Varanasi on Monday.
Based on a complaint filed by Nisha's family, an FIR has been ordered against the police personnel. Her family alleged she was thrashed to death by the police. The SHO of Syed Raja police station has been suspended.
