
No crowds to listen to PM: Congress chides BJP over postponement of Modi's Punjab rally

After PM Modi's Punjab rally got postponed on Wednesday, Congress chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala on Wednesday took a dig at the BJP, saying there were no crowds at the public event organised by the party in Ferozepur.
A political uproar erupted following the postponement of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's visit to Punjab's Ferozepur for addressing a rally on Wednesday, with the Congress alleging that there were no crowds at the public event organised by BJP.
Hitting out at BJP president JP Nadda, Congress general secretary and chief spokesperson Randeep Surjewala said that the former should stop indulging in blamegames and the BJP should introspect its "anti-farmer" attitude.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
