The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has opposed the bail plea of dismissed Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze, who is seeking three months house arrest instead of being kept in jail after his heart surgery.
The National Investigating Agency (NIA) has opposed the bail plea of dismissed Mumbai cop Sachin Vaze, who was arrested by the central agency in the Antilia bomb scare and businessman Mansukh Hiran death case earlier this year.
Vaze is seeking three months house arrest instead of being kept in jail after his cardiac bypass surgery. However, the NIA opposed his plea in the lower court and has opposed it in the high court too. Vaze is currently lodged at the Taloja jail in Navi Mumbai.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
