India needs to fully vaccinate its entire population first against Covid-19 before moving on to booster shots, Director General of Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Professor Balram Bhargava has said.
Speaking to India Today, Balram Bhargava said the jury is still deciding on the booster shots for the Indian population. Even as the World Health Organisation has recommended booster shots for people with low immunity, the Indian scenario is different and the focus right now is on two doses, the ICMR chief said.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
