NCW writes to UP, Delhi police seeking action against Jawed Habib over viral 'spitting' video

The NCW has sought action against hairstylist Jawed Habib over a video of him spitting on a woman's hair during a workshop in UP's Muzaffarnagar.

The National Commission for Women (NCW) has taken cognizance of a viral video showing hairstylist Jawed Habib allegedly spitting on a woman's hair. The video in question was shot during a workshop Habib was conducting in Uttar Pradesh's Muzaffarnagar. Jawed Habib’s spitting on the head has not gone down well. Reacting to a news report about the viral video, NCW on Thursday took to Twitter to say that its chairperson Rekha Sharma has written to the UP Director General of Police (DGP) seeking action in this regard.
