
NCB's Sameer Wankhede returns to Mumbai, to be quizzed over 'extortion' charges tomorrow

The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) had earlier ordered a vigilance probe against Sameer Wankhede after a witness accused him of asking for Rs 25 crore bribe.
Narcotics Control Bureau's (NCB) Zonal Director Sameer Wankhede has landed at the Mumbai airport.
When asked about Maharashtra cabinet minister Nawab Malik's allegations of illegal phone tapping, Wankhede said, "What are you saying?"

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
