
Nawab Malik-Sameer Wankhede tussle kicks off debate over verification of caste certificates

Nawab Malik's allegations against Sameer Wankhede that he used 'falsified' documents to secure a place in the IRS have kicked off a debate over the issuance and verification of caste certificates.
Following the arrest of actor Shah Rukh Khan's son Aryan Khan in a raid on October 2, Maharashtra minister Nawab Malik made a slew of allegations against Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) zonal director Sameer Wankhede.
Malik, who is also a spokesperson for the Nationalist Congress Party (NCP), took to Twitter on Monday to accuse Sameer Wankhede of using a 'fake caste certificate' for securing a government job.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
