National symposium focuses on shaping women leaders in STEM

IISER Tirupati hosts a national symposium empowering women in STEM through leadership training and inspiring talks from experts.
The Indian Institute of Science Education and Research Tirupati, in collaboration with IIT Tirupati, IIT Delhi and Sri Padmavati Mahila Visvavidyalayam Tirupati, organised a national symposium on Crafting Women Leaders in STEM here on Saturday.
The two-day event seeks to empower early-career women scientists, researchers and professionals to navigate leadership pathways in Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics, with a strong emphasis on holistic development.
About 50 faculty members and researchers from various institutions in the region attended the symposium. A key highlight was a series of leadership training sessions focusing on confidence building, clarity of thought and transforming perceived challenges into achievable goals.
The sessions are being led by Dr. Pooja Vyavahare and Dr. Vaneet Kashyap of IIT Tirupati. The symposium also features inspiring talks by eminent speakers, who share their professional journeys and leadership experiences from India and abroad.
