
Narrow minded, inhumane acts: Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan condemns Alappuzha killings

Kerala CM Pinarayi Vijayan has condemned the killing of SDPI and BJP functionaries in Alappuzha district, saying the state police will take strict action against those behind the attacks.
Kerala Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan on Sunday condemned the killing of two leaders of the Social Democratic Party of India (SDPI) and the BJP in Alappuzha district, saying the state police will come down hard on those behind the attacks.
In a Facebook post, Pinarayi Vijayan said, "Such narrow minded and inhumane acts is bad for the state. The murder groups and their hatred filled approach should be singled out and kept away from civil society."

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

According to the police, 19-year-old Sachin Dharmendrabhai Chaudhary, who works as a labourer, had borrowed the money before expressing his inability to repay it immediately, police said. He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
