
Nagaland to hold special Assembly today to pass resolution seeking repeal of AFSPA

Nagaland will hold a special Assembly session on Monday to pass a resolution to repeal Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act (AFSPA).
A special session of the Nagaland Assembly will be held on Monday to pass a resolution to repeal the Armed Forces (Special Powers) Act, 1958, from the state.
The move came amid growing demands to conduct a special assembly session to adopt a resolution to repeal the AFSPA after the killing of 14 civilians in Mon district.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent.
