Telangana CM K CHandrashekar Rao addressed a public meeting in Narayankhed on Monday. He said that his vision was to create a golden India along the same lines as Bangaru (golden) Telangana.
Telangana CM, K Chandrashekar Rao, on Monday, February 21 said his vision was to make a 'Golden India' similar to Bangaru (golden) Telangana. He made this statement while addressing a public meeting at Narayankhed in Telangana’s Sangareddy district.
The CM was taking part in the foundation stone laying ceremony for the Sangameshwara and Basaveshwara projects.
While taking power in 2014, Telangana Rashtra Samithi (TRS) chief K Chandrashekar Rao, who was one of the flag bearers for a separate statehood movement, had promised to create a Bangaru (golden) Telangana.
In these years, KCR claimed to achieve it through his governments' flagship Rythu Bandhu (farm input subsidy scheme), Farmers Group Life Insurance Scheme Rythu Bima and Mission Bhagiratha (piped drinking water to every household). Interestingly, both the schemes were adopted and are now implemented by the union government.

Recently, the TRS government came out with another mass welfare scheme, ‘Dalit Bandhu,’ providing a one-time grant of Rs 10 lakh to each Dalit in the state.
Based on this success, KCR, who is eyeing playing a role in national politics, is now pitching a ‘golden India’ plan.
