‘My Goodness Gracious’: CNN's Harry Enten Breaks Down A Very Grim Shift For Trump

It boils down to one thing, said the network's chief data analyst.
CNN’s chief data analyst Harry Enten on Monday pointed out how some polling numbers on the U.S. economy are right now “going in the complete wrong direction” for President Donald Trump.
Trump was elected “to solve the economic crisis, to solve the pricing crisis,” Enten noted to “News Central” anchor Kate Bolduan. But the portion of people polled who think the country, when it comes to the economy, is on the wrong track has “skyrocketed” from 43% when Trump returned to the White House to 56% right now, said Enten.
“My goodness gracious,” he said, for effect.
Those who think the country is on the right track economically has, meanwhile, dropped from 36% to 29%, said Enten.
The “27-point spread in the negative direction” for Trump can be boiled down to Trump “trying to spin a narrative” and the American people not buying it, he said, noting that worries over inflation are “overwhelmingly driving this economic pessimism.”
