During his address at the BRICS Summit, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Thursday said that mutual cooperation can make a useful contribution to the post-Covid recovery globally.
Mutual cooperation can make a useful contribution to the post-Covid economic recovery globally, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said on Thursday while he was addressing the 14th BRICS Summit, being held in a virtual mode.
The BRICS member nations have a similar approach to the governance of the global economy, he stated.
During his opening remarks at the summit, hosted by China, PM Modi said, "There are multiple areas wherein, through cooperation between BRICS nations, the citizens have benefitted. By increasing connectivity between BRICS Youth Summits, BRICS Sports, civil society organizations & think-tanks, we've strengthened our people-to-people connect."

It is a matter of happiness that membership of the New Development Bank (NDB) has increased, PM Modi said, adding that the cooperation among the member countries has benefitted their citizens.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
