Two suspects have been taken into custody for questioning, police said, adding that heavy police deployment has been made in the village to maintain law and order.
A young man was shot dead outside his house in Greater Noida in a brazen daylight attack captured on CCTV cameras, with the shooting unfolding in full public view. The incident took place under the Ecotech-1 police station area, where the victim, identified as Nitin, was targeted by armed assailants. He sustained critical bullet injuries and was rushed to a hospital, where he died during treatment.
The chilling footage shows how an ordinary afternoon in a residential lane suddenly turned into a ground for chaos as gunmen chased the victim and opened fire while children were playing nearby and residents watched in horror. The attack unfolded within seconds, leaving bystanders with little time to react.
CCTV visuals show a quiet neighbourhood moments before the attack, with children playing outside homes. Nitin is seen walking down the road when three assailants suddenly enter the lane with clear intent and gun in their hands. They quickly move towards Nitin before opening fire at close range.
As gunshots echo through the narrow lane, children run for safety. At the same time, a woman standing near a house gate is seen screaming in terror as the firing continues. The victim collapses on the road after being hit, while the attackers flee the spot within seconds.
Senior police officer Sudhir Kumar, who reached the scene along with police teams after receiving information, said preliminary investigation suggests the murder stemmed from an ongoing personal rivalry.
Police said Nitin had a dispute with some villagers, and accused Sachin, along with his associates, allegedly targeted him and carried out the attack.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
