Mumbai will experience mainly clear skies with temperatures around 32°C and possible light rain early Thursday morning.
The India Meteorological Department (IMD) has forecast a mainly clear sky over Mumbai and its suburbs, with a possibility of light rain during the early morning hours on Thursday (March 19, 2026). Daytime temperatures are expected to be around 32 degrees Celsius, while the minimum temperature may settle near 23 degrees Celsius.
The city is expected to remain largely dry, with only isolated light rain possible in some areas during the early hours.
According to the SAMEER App, Mumbai’s Air Quality Index stood at 72 on Thursday morning. This figure falls within the satisfactory category, indicating that pollutant levels are within acceptable limits for most individuals.
Coastal regions of Maharashtra, including Mumbai, have recorded moderate temperatures over the past 24 hours. The maximum temperature in the city and its surrounding areas has ranged between 31 and 33 degrees Celsius. However, humidity levels have remained high, crossing 80% in parts of Mumbai. Dahanu recorded humidity levels reaching up to 88%.
The IMD has predicted that daytime temperatures in Mumbai will remain around 32 degrees Celsius in the coming days. Night temperatures are expected to hover near the 23-degree mark. The weather is likely to remain warm due to persistent moisture in the air.
While the rest of Maharashtra braces for stormy conditions, Mumbai is likely to escape the brunt of the current weather system. The IMD has not placed the city under any high alert, and no significant weather disruption is anticipated. Citizens have been advised to check local forecasts for any updates, though no major changes are expected in the city’s weather pattern over the next 24 hours.
