
Mumbai: Three years after teen's death, parents to take body as HC orders second post-mortem

Almost three years after a teenager from Dharavi died days following police detention in a theft case, the Court has ordered a second post-mortem of the body as requested by his family. The family will take custody of the body after that.
Almost three years after a teenager from Dharavi in Mumbai died following police detention in a mobile theft case, the Bombay High Court has ordered a second post-mortem of the body. The body of Sachin Jaiswar will finally be cremated by his family after that. The 17-year-old’s body has been lying in the mortuary of JJ Hospital since July 2018. The family refused to accept it until a second post-mortem was done. The division bench of Justice S S Shinde and Justice Manish Pitale directed the hospital to conduct the post-mortem by April 6 and the family has agreed to take custody of the body after that.More Related News
