After the NCB opposed the bail plea filed by Aryan Khan saying he was not only a consumer of drugs, involved in illicit drug trafficking but was also tampering with the evidence and witnesses in the case, Aryan Khan's legal team filed an affidavit in the court distancing themselves from witness Prabhakar Sail controversy.
Soon after the Narcotic Control Bureau (NCB) filed an affidavit in reply to Aryan Khan's bail plea vehemently opposing it on the ground that witnesses are being influenced, Aryan Khan's legal team distanced themselves from the entire Prabhakar Sail controversy.
Prabhakar Sail, an independent witness, claimed an extortion bid of Rs 25 crore by some NCB officials, including the agency's zonal director Sameer Wankhede, and others for letting off accused Aryan Khan in the drugs case. Prabhakar Sail said he was the bodyguard of another witness in the case, Kiran Gosavi, who is absconding after the NCB raids that were conducted on October 3 at the cruise terminal on Mumbai's coast leading to the arrest of as many as 20 people, including Aryan Khan.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
