
Mumbai court summons Nawab Malik in defamation case by BJP leader

The Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Mazgaon has summoned NCP leader Nawab Malik in a defamation complaint filed by BJP leader Mohit Bharatiya.
The 25th Metropolitan Magistrate Court of Mazgaon, Mumbai, has issued a notice to Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) leader Nawab Malik in a defamation complaint filed by BJP leader Mohit Bharatiya. Metropolitan Magistrate PI Mokashi observed that Malik had made defamatory statements against Bharatiya and it will be available for viewing by the public at large.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
