Mumbai: Contractor shot by unidentified men for the second time in six months

A labour contractor was shot in his abdomen by two unknown bike-borne miscreants on Monday. This is the second attempt on his life in six months.
A contractor in Virar was shot for the second time in six months on Monday. The 46-year-old labour contractor was shot in his abdomen by two unknown bike-borne miscreants.
As per the report by the Times of India (TOI), the victim identified as Ashram Rathod was shot by two assailants on a motorbike while he was standing near Barafpada in Virar (East).
He was immediately taken to the hospital and his condition was serious. This is the second time the contractor was attacked by some miscreants.
Rathod sustained minor bullet injuries when he was attacked last time, six months ago.
The Mumbai police have registered a case of an attempt to murder and are looking for the assailants.
As per the report by TOI, the police have examined the CCTV footage and suspect that the miscreants could have been the ones who had tried to kill Rathod earlier in September 2021.
