The Mumbai Police has registered an FIR against the barge captain of Barge P305 which sank in the Arabian Sea on Monday during Cyclone Tauktae. A case has been registered against Barge captain Rakesh Ballav and others under IPC sections 304(2), 338, 34 at the Yellowgate Police Station. Ballav, along with others, has been booked on the basis of a complaint filed by the rescued barge engineer Mustafizur Rehman Shaikh who accused them of "negligence".
