
Mumbai: 88,710 coronavirus cases in March, 475% rise as compared to February

Mumbai in Maharashtra continues to combat the novel coronavirus. According to data accumulated by the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation (BMC), the city reported 88,710 coronavirus cases in March this year, nearly 475% more cases than the previous month's infection count. In February, the financial hub had reported 18,359 Covid-19 cases and 16,328 in January this year. According to BMC's data, the city reported a spike of 70,351 cases in March as compared to the previous month and 72,382 more cases as compared to the total tally of infections in January.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

He was allegedly threatened with his life over the delay in repayment. Fearing for his life, Sachin immediately alerted the police.
