MP govt suspends prison superintendent after Digvijaya Singh, jailed NSUI leader meet in his office

The Madhya Pradesh government has suspended the prison superintendent after the video of Digvijaya Singh meeting a jailed NSUI leader in his office went viral.
The government has suspended Gwalior Central Jail Superintendent Manoj Sahu after a video of Congress leader Digvijaya Singh and NSUI district president, lodged in Gwalior Central Jail, is making rounds on the social media.
Former MP chief minister Digvijaya Singh was in Gwalior on Monday, during which he participated in many programs. Singh reached Gwalior Central Jail along with local Congress leaders. Here, he met the jailed NSUI district president Shivraj Singh Yadav.

Prisoner Shivraj Yadav met Digvijay Singh in the chamber of Jail Superintendent Manoj Kumar Sahu. When the video and photo of this meeting went viral, the matter caught fire.
In the video, Digvijaya Singh was seen sitting with the activist on a sofa in the jail superintendent's office. A board having a list of the jail superintendents was also seen on a wall behind the sofa can also be seen in the clip.
“I am against the jail manual, the photo inside the jail is going viral. Prima facie considering guilty, it has been decided to suspend Jail-Superintendent Manoj Kumar Sahu. Digvijaya Singh, himself was chief minister for 10 years and still it is surprising to know that he is not aware of the rules,” said state Home Minister Narottam Mishra.
Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan called for a report from the Jail DG in this matter and directed for action.
