The mortal remains of Flight Lieutenant Advitiya Bal, one of the pilots of the MiG-21 jet that crashed in Rajasthan, will be brought to his hometown in Jammu and Kashmir today.
The mortal remains of Lieutenant Advitiya Bal, one of the pilots of the MiG-21 fighter jet that crashed in Rajasthan will be brought to his hometown in Jammu and Kashmir. Two pilots were killed when a MiG-21 fighter aircraft crashed in Rajasthan's Barmer district on Thursday evening.
A wreath laying ceremony will be held at the Air Force Station in Jammu and Kashmir. Later, the mortal remains will be sent to his hometown in RS Pura where a cremation ceremony will take place.

The fighter jet crashed in Rajasthan's Barmer district on Thursday. The debris of the aircraft was found scattered on a half-kilometer stretch in Bhimda village in Barmer.
The two pilots who were inside the aircraft died after sustaining fatal injuries from the crash. Lt Advitiya Bal and Wing Commander M Rana were conducting a sortie over the Baytu region when the crash happened.
The exact reason for the crash is not known yet and the Indian Air Force ordered a court of inquiry to ascertain the cause of the accident.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
