Monsoon likely to reach Odisha, Jharkhand, parts of Bengal, Bihar by June 15: IMD

The India Meteorological Department has said that the southwest monsoon is likely to advance into Odisha, Jharkhand, parts of West Bengal and Bihar by June 15.

The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Saturday said the southwest monsoon is likely to advance into Odisha, Jharkhand, parts of West Bengal and Bihar by June 15. The IMD said the southwest monsoon has reached more parts of central Arabian Sea, Karnataka coast, Goa, some parts of Maharashtra, most parts north interior Karnataka, parts of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh, other parts of Tamil Nadu and central Bay of Bengal and some parts of northeast Bay of Bengal. The IMD has also predicted a normal rainfall in June. It said that the country is unlikely to witness a heatwave over the next five days.
