The southwest monsoon is likely to reach Delhi and other neighbouring regions during June 27-30, as per the India Meteorological Department prediction (IMD).

IMD official, GP Sharma said, ‘’Delhi may be feeling relieved after 2 days of rain, but the coming days will bring heatwaves in the city. Meteorologists believe that the monsoon will not arrive in Delhi before June 27-28.’’
According to the monsoon map released by the India Meteorological Department (IMD), the seasonal rains will reach western Uttar Pradesh, Haryana, Punjab and Rajasthan during June 25-30.
It will further advance to parts of Rajasthan and Punjab during June 30-July 5.
Furthermore, according to the weather department, there will be no heatwave conditions for the next five days over Delhi, northwest and central India.
The southwest monsoon arrived in Kerala on Sunday, three days ahead of its normal date of onset (June 1), marking the beginning of the four-month rainy season in the country.
"Conditions are now further favourable to also cover more parts of Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Bay of Bengal and also northeastern states," IMD stated.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
