
Minor boy dies by suicide after parents reject relationship with 20-year-old woman

Reportedly, the couple had decided to hang themselves together in a drunken state. But, as her hook broke, the woman fell down, while her minor partner breathed his last.
A minor boy died by suicide in Hyderabad on Friday after marrying a 20-year-old woman, who also attempted to kill herself, and failing to get their family's approval of the relationship. The couple had reportedly secretly married and were staying in a rented room in the city's Yousufguda area. They took the extreme step in an inebriated state. But the woman survived and the boy, 17, succumbed to death. Neelima and the boy had met on Facebook and were in a relationship for the last three months, reported The New Indian Express. However, as their parents refused their proposal to get married, the couple left home.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
