
Minister inspects Chennai Corporation projects in Harbour constituency

Minister P.K. Sekarbabu inspects ₹14.63 crore Chennai Corporation projects, including a community hall and urban health center.
A total of ₹14.63 crore worth of development works being implemented by the Greater Chennai Corporation (GCC) in the Harbour Assembly constituency were inspected on Wednesday by P.K. Sekarbabu, Minister for Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments and Chairman of the Chennai Metropolitan Development Authority.
According to a press release, the works reviewed included the construction of a new community hall at V.O.C. Road in the Royapuram Zone, being built at a cost of ₹13.43 crore. The community hall is expected to be opened for public on February 8 by Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin.
The fully air-conditioned facility would accommodate 600 persons in the main hall and provide dining space for 250 persons at a time. Parking facilities have been created for over 40 four-wheelers and 200 two-wheelers, the release said.
Later, the Minister also inspected a new urban primary health centre being constructed at a cost of ₹1.20 crore at Amman Koil Street in Kondithoppu.
Regional Deputy Commissioner (North) Katta Ravi Teja, and elected representatives were present.
