A woman was assaulted by a group of people on the suspicion of abducting a toddler in Arani town of Tamil Nadu's Thiruvannamalai district. The woman has mental illness and is living apart from her husband for some time.
A mentally ill woman was assaulted by a group of people on the suspicion of abducting a toddler in Arani town of Tamil Nadu's Thiruvannamalai district, the police said on Tuesday. Santosh, the three-year-old son of Senthil Kumar and Anjala, was playing outside his house in Kannamangala area of Arani. Suddenly, the child disappeared and when the family members went to search for him, they heard his scream.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
