Megyn Kelly called out NewsNation host Chris Cuomo as a “douchebag” after he implied that Kelly was a “sloppy influencer” on his “CUOMO” show.
On Tuesday’s episode of “The Megyn Kelly Show,” the political commentator fired back at Cuomo while defending her coverage of the disappearance of “Today” co-anchor Savannah Guthrie’s mother, Nancy Guthrie.
“I’ll show you what the douchebag Chris Cuomo is saying … He’s very upset that Ashleigh Banfield and yours truly have raised questions about [Savannah Guthrie‘s] brother-in-law.”
Kelly, Banfield and other reporters have alluded that Tommaso Cioni, the brother-in-law, could be a suspect in the disappearance of the mother. TMZ, however, reported on Feb. 5 that the Pima County Sheriff’s Department said no suspects have been identified in the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Guthrie.
Kelly went on to play a clip of Cuomo directly taking aim at her while bemoaning about “sloppy influencers and would-be sleuths” covering Guthrie’s disappearance for “clicks and ragebait.”
The "Late Show" host conducted an informal poll of his audience.
