
Meet Mawya Sudan, IAF’s first female fighter pilot from Jammu & Kashmir

24-year-old Mawya Sudan hails from Lamberi village in Rajouri district of Jammu division. She was inducted as a fighter pilot during the Combined Graduation parade ceremony in Hyderabad last Saturday.
Bringing laurels to Jammu and Kashmir, Flying Officer Mawya Sudan has become the first woman from the state to be inducted as a fighter pilot in the Indian Air Force. Mawya Sudan, 24, belongs to Lamberi village near the Line of Control (LoC) in Rajouri district of Jammu division.
A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
