Man murders son, stabs wife in Moinabad

In a shocking incident, the birthday celebrations of a 22-year-old woman turned gory when her husband stabbed her and then slit the throat of his two year-old-son. Moinabad police who are investigating the case said that the incident happened in the Kethireddypally village on Monday night, even as they identified the accused’s son, and victim as Dinesh. The accused has been identified as 28-year-old Dhappu Ramesh. He is a native of Nagasamudram in Yalal mandal and works as a watchman at a dairy farm. Police said that Ramesh was in an inebriated condition, and family squabbles on Monday night led to murder.The election authorities are gearing up for the counting of votes cast in the simultaneous elections to Lok Sabha and Assembly seats in Andhra Pradesh, scheduled to be held on June 4. The Collectors and Election Officers of Visakhapatnam, Anakapalli and Alluri Sitharama Raju (ASR) districts said on May 23 (Thursday) that their teams were ready for the counting of votes.
