Police said CCTV footage showed no suspicious activity, and the exact cause of death will be confirmed only after post-mortem.
A 42-year-old man was found dead inside a parked car in the basement parking of Star City Mall in east Delhi’s Mayur Vihar area, police said on Tuesday.
The deceased has been identified as Narendra Singh, a resident of Ilahavas in Uttar Pradesh’s Noida. His body was discovered inside the vehicle parked at the mall premises, prompting police to reach the spot and initiate an enquiry.
According to preliminary investigation, CCTV camera footage from the parking area showed the man seated alone inside the car before he was found unresponsive.
Officials suspect the death to be natural, possibly caused by a cardiac arrest, though the exact cause will be confirmed only after the post-mortem examination.
Delhi Police said further clarity regarding the circumstances of death will emerge once the post-mortem report is received. They added that no foul play is suspected at this stage, but investigation is ongoing as per procedure.
