Congress leader Mallikarjur Kharge on Saturday resigned as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Rajya Sabha.
A day after filing his nomination for the election for the party presidential post, Congress leader Mallikarjur Kharge on Saturday resigned as the Leader of Opposition (LoP) in Rajya Sabha, as per the sources.
P Chidambaram and Digvijay Singh are in the race to succeed Khare as the LoP.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.
