
Maharashtra Sadan Scam: Plea filed in HC seeking intervention in petition filed by Deepak Deshpande

Activist Anjali Damania who challenged Maharashtra Cabinet Minister Chhagan Bhujbal’s discharge by special court has now filed another application in Bombay High Court. This time Damania is seeking intervention in a petition filed by Bhujbal's co-accused Deepak Deshpande.
Deshpande's plea for discharge in the Maharashtra Sadan Scam had been rejected by the Special Court. Therefore, he had approached the High Court with a revision plea.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah.
