Maharashtra records 821 Covid deaths, over 62,000 new cases

Maharashtra has reported 62,919 new coronavirus cases and 828 deaths in the last 24 hours.

Maharashtra reported 62,919 new confirmed cases of Covid-19 on Friday, pushing the tally of active cases to 6,62,640. The state also reported 828 coronavirus-related deaths in the last 24 hours. The caseload on Friday reached 46,02,472, while the death toll rose to 68,813. The case fatality rate (CFR) among patients in the state now stands at 1.5 per cent as per the latest figures. At the same time, the recovery rate of Covid-19 patients in Maharashtra has increased to 84.06 per cent.
