Leaders submit memorandum to Governor highlighting key issues affecting people
The Maharashtra Congress on Thursday held cycle rallies in Mumbai and several parts of the State to protest against the rising fuel prices and inflation in the country. State Congress chief Nana Patole led the rally from Hanging Gardens in Malabar Hill to Raj Bhavan. A delegation of party leaders and MLAs met Governor Bhagat Singh Koshyari and submitted a memorandum highlighting key issues affecting people in the country, including providing political reservation for OBCs and withdrawing the three farm laws passed by the Centre. “People of the country are getting no respite from rising prices. Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) leaders are advising States to reduce taxes. States do not get their rightful GST compensation, but the Centre is happily collecting taxes,” Mr. Patole saidMore Related News
