A group of advocates filed a complaint against e-commerce giant Amazon with Madurai Police for depicting Lord Krishna and other Indian gods in an obscene manner.
After a complaint was registered against Amazon in Bengaluru, the e-commerce company faced the wrath of a group of advocates from Madurai. The complainants approached Madurai police commissioner Senthil Kumar and sought action against the e-commerce website for selling artwork and products depicting Lord Krishna in an obscene manner.
Muthukumar, an advocate and one of the complainants, said that on Krishan Jayanthi, August 19, an artwork was sold which showed intimate moments between a male, whose body was blue in colour, wearing a crown, with a peacock feather.
The complaint alleged that it was an indecent representation of Lord Krishna being sold online by Amazon. This has hurt the sentiments of Hindus who sought appropriate action against the e-commerce site.
In their complaint, they also alleged that it was not the first time the e-commerce company had done such activities. They cited that in the past, many products have been sold that were disrespectful towards the Hindu gods and the Indian flag, among other things.

A prominent seer, Pranavananda Swamiji, alleged that mutts backing Karnataka Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar to take over the top post were denied any allocation in the state budget presented by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. He reiterated his support for Shivakumar to take over as the chief minister.

India's original Dhurandhar, Ravindra Kaushik, rose from acting at college theatres, to infiltrating the Pakistan Army as a RAW Agent. He provided critical intelligence on Pakistani troop movements and the country's nuclear programme, but died a lonely death after his betrayal and subsequent capture by the ISI.
