A family from Bihar on an excursion in Karnataka was forced to spend a night in a forest in Belagavi after losing network connectivity while following Google Maps to reach their destination.
Rajdas Ranjit Das and his family members were on a trip to Goa from Ujjain and were relying on Google Maps to reach their destination in Goa.
Following the map, they deviated from the main road between Shiroli and Hemmadaga and entered Bhimgad Wildlife Sanctuary on Thursday night. As they lost network connectivity in the dense forest, they ended up spending the night in the forest.
On Friday morning, they managed to reach a place that had network and called the police control room for help. The Khanapur Station Police traced them and led them out of the forest.
