
Legislature session extended till February 4

Legislature session in Bengaluru extended to February 4, with key debates scheduled for February 2, 3, and 4.
The ongoing Legislature session has now been extended till February 4. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting of Business Advisory Committee (BAC) on Thursday.
Earlier, the session that began on January 22 with the address of Governor Thaawarchand Gehlot was supposed to conclude on January 31. However, the BAC has decided not to hold the session on Saturday.
Announcing the decision of the BAC in the Assembly, Speaker U.T. Khader said Chief Minister Siddaramaiah would reply to the debate on motion of thanks to the Governor’s address on February 2, while there will be a debate on resolutions to be moved by the government on February 3 and 4. The government will reply to the debate on resolutions on February 4.
