MS NOW’s Lawrence O’Donnell on Monday tore into Donald Trump, using a photo from the president’s Oval Office meeting last week with New York City Mayor-elect Zohran Mamdani.
“There is no more vivid image of Donald Trump’s decline and fall than the one created on Friday. Trump slumped at the Oval Office desk in defeat, offering a political surrender to the man standing beside him in the Elon Musk position,” O’Donnell said.
Mamdani “took over that room as no one before him has ever taken over that room with Donald Trump in it,” he continued, noting that Trump went “from calling the man a ‘communist lunatic’ to gladhanding him publicly,” just as he does with his “beloved dictators.”
O’Donnell argued that Trump was essentially “offering an unconditional surrender,” because amid tanking poll numbers, he is “losing so badly now that he desperately has to do something and he has no idea what to do.”
