Lauren Boebert Cooks Up Bonkers New Excuse For Bailing On Her District

The far-right lawmaker explained why she's hightailing it to a safer seat in this year's election.
Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) knows who to blame for her decision to ditch her own constituents and run in a different district in the upcoming election: Barbra Streisand and Ryan Reynolds.
“Hollywood is trying to buy their way into Congress,” the conspiracy theorist and “Beetlejuice” fan told right-wing podcaster and former Donald Trump advisor Steve Bannon.
Boebert barely won reelection in 2022, defeating Democratic challenger Adam Frisch by 546 votes in a race virtually no one expected to be close. Rather than face Frisch again, Boebert said last week she’ll run in a neighboring district instead.
Frisch has so far raised $7.7 million, compared to Boebert’s $2.4 million ― a difference she attributed to Deadpool and pals.
“It’s coming from Hollywood when you have Barbra Streisand coming in and donating to the Democrat, when you have Ryan Reynolds coming in and donating to the Democrat,” she told Bannon.
Joseph Tirrell was tasked with advising the department's leaders on ethical matters.
"[E]ither way the threat to our Constitution’s separation of powers is grave," she wrote in a blistering dissent.
For some strange reason, Trump's "won't somebody think of the unattractive billionaires" claim wasn't exactly the rallying cry he might have expected.
The former president returned to the fundraising circuit to urge his party to “stop looking for the messiah.”
“Alligator Alcatraz is officially open, and we are excited about it!!” reads a fundraising email from the NRCC that hawks “ICE with a bite” T-shirts.
Losing the status is a far bigger deal than most people likely know, and getting it back is no fast or easy feat.
In a rare interview with The New York Times, the former president defended his use of a scrutinized device.
The newspaper's conservative editorial board also hit the president with a cold truth about his tariff strategy.
The conservative attorney responded to a suggestion from the president.
"That’s not the way to win. It’s just not," said the billionaire.
Horrific posts on the "Sesame Street" character's X account only remained online for a short period, but still went viral.
The president took center stage and critics noticed.
The president said he won yet another championship, but his critics aren't buying it.
