Seer of Siddaganga Mutt of Tumakuru Sri Siddalinga Swami has said that the former MLA late Naganagouda Kandkur fought for the people and faced many difficulties throughout his political career.
Inaugurating a ceremony to mark the first death anniversary of the late leader at Kandkur village in Gurmitkal taluk of Yadgir district on Tuesday, he said that it is difficult to find politicians with values these days. However, Mr. Kandkur was an exception, he said.
“The political loyalty of Naganagouda Kandkur was unparalleled. He was associated with the Janata Dal(S) for several decades. He continued his public service without any compromise, even though many cases were registered against him. I only appeal to his son and MLA Sharanagouda Kandkur to continue his late father’s legacy of public service and develop the constituency, especially in the agriculture sector,” the seer said.
Making the introductory remarks, Sharanagouda Kandkur said that his late father earned nothing except the love and affection of the people of the constituency and promised to tread on the path shown by his father.
