Bengaluru police summon Muthappa Rai's son, Ricky Rai, after a Lamborghini was caught performing dangerous stunts, raising public safety concerns.
Bengaluru City Police have summoned Ricky Rai, son of former underworld operative Muthappa Rai, in connection with a case involving a Lamborghini car performing dangerous stunts at Anil Kumble Circle in the heart of the city on Saturday (March 21, 2026), putting the lives of the public at risk.
A white Lamborghini (bearing registration number KA 05 NR 0009) was seen in a video doing donuts at the junction before speeding away towards Tonique Circle. The car then took a U-turn and sped away towards Trinity Junction.
A senior police officer overseeing the case told The Hindu that the high-end car was traced to Rai’s residence in Sadashivanagar. The Cubbon Park Traffic Police seized the vehicle and towed it to the station.
“The registration number isn’t linked to the owner’s details, and there is no clarity on who owns the vehicle, although we found it at Rai’s residence. We have served him a notice to appear for questioning on Sunday (March 22),” the officer told The Hindu, adding that if he fails to appear at the station, another notice will be served on Monday.
As there is no clarity on the car’s ownership, the police have written to the RTO seeking more information on the vehicle registration. Further, the police are yet to ascertain whether the car was driven by Rai or if he is merely connected to the driver.
The luxury sports car was filmed by a citizen performing drifting stunts at the junction, and the video was shared on social media. Users tagged the police, raising safety concerns about city roads and demanding immediate action against the driver.

High in the Nilgiris, a quiet ecological revival is underway.
